Brian McNamara is an American actor, he portrayed Carson Ward, the father of Luke Ward during the first and second seasons of the Fox drama series The O.C..

Biography[]
He is best known for his portrayal Dean Karny in the TV Movie "Billionaire Boys Club" for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a supporting role. He had lead roles in numerous motion pictures including Arachnophobia (1990). TV guest starring roles include such popular series as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, St. Elsewhere, JAG, Star Trek: Voyager, Mad About You, Matlock, Ellen, Murder, She Wrote, and Murphy Brown.
He also starred in the Disney sci-fi tele-movie "Earth Star Voyager".
He has a starring role in the feature film, Tillamook Treasure (2006), in which he plays Robert Kimbell, the father of the 14 year old lead character, Julie, played by Suzanne Marie Doyon.
